From gardening, entertaining, exploring the outdoors with their dogs to opening the gates to a film crew, culminating in the latest Downton Abbey film. Highclere is where history, royalty, nature and community weave together. Her previous books include Seasons at Highclere and The Earl and the Pharaoh, a biography of the 5th Earl of Carnarvon who discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun with Howard Carter.
